Welcoming a wedding guest who has traveled from out of town may seem like a hard task to accomplish, but with my tips you will have them at "Hello"! We have all seen the gift bags with the traditional crackers, bottled water and a map in them, but times have changed!
One thing that you want to do first and foremost is to reserve a block of rooms for your out of town guests. They may not know where the nice, safe, and close-to-you hotels may be, so help them out. You can normally get a discount on rooms as well. What a great start to the festivities!
Now for the fun part...the food! Wow your guests with food that is from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. What about a gift basket or bag with pecan pralines, jalapeno jelly, or spiced pecans? Among many other delicious treats from the area, these items are sure to please. Head over to Texas Food for some great ideas! What about a copy of DMagazine or DWeddings, they are so many fun things to do in this Metroplex...so show it off!
